Students with disabilities are served through the Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) for all their accommodation needs ranging from academic to housing to digital and physical campus accessibility. CSD also provides universally-designed instructional resources for faculty, and strives to create an inclusive campus environment that allows students to engage, explore, and participate in the Wisconsin Idea.

Visitors with disabilities, including guests such as spouses of employees residing in University Housing, work with University departments to seek accommodations to participate in programs, activities, and services at UW–Whitewater. Guests or visitors are encouraged to contact the event sponsor or department early if they are seeking a disability-related accommodation. Assistance and further information may be obtained by contacting the ADA Coordinator.

Employees with disabilities and job applicants are supported through the Office of Human Resources. The ADA Coordinator leads the serves as the campus-wide hub for information on the disability accommodation process for employees and applicants. The ADA Coordinator is responsible for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act’s employment provisions and offers essential information, consultation, education, and referral services to employees and applicants, and supervisors and managers to help minimize barriers in the workplace. Web accessibility means that websites, tools, and technologies are designed and developed so that people with disabilities can use them. More specifically, people can:

  • perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the Web
  • contribute to the Web

At 足彩平台, we strive to make the digital resources offered to students available to all students. We have targeted the WCAG 2.1 AA standard as our goal for digital accessibility, and work to ensure our websites, applications, and digital resources meet or exceed that standard.

Additionally, assistive technology for students, staff, and faculty is available in computer labs throughout campus. These computer labs are free, and many have staff available for assistance. Visit the Computer Labs website for information on a lab near you.

If you have encountered a barrier in using the digital resources provided by 足彩平台, please let us know so we can fix the barrier.
